getGraphix supplies high quality Acrylic glass, also known as Plexiglass, for picture frames.
The acrylic glass we supply is specifically manufactured for picture frames. It is a higher quality than standard persplex or Polystyrene plastic
Framing Grade Acrylic glass is manufactured to a higher standard than other grades of acrylic glass, such as acrylic for displays and signs, and will have fewer flaws.
Regular persplex, Lexan, a polycarbonate, and Styrene or Polystyrene plastic, are not made in Framing Grade and are not the same quality as Framing Grade Acrylic glass.

Why Acrylic glass for framing?
Framing grade acrylic glass, also known as plexiglass, is specially made for picture framing. It is not plastic or polystryrene. Acrylic glass is half the weight of regular glass.
Clear acrylic glass is a lightweight, shatter-resistant product that is virtually impossible to tell apart from glass in a frame. It has an attractive glossy surface and is very transparent and colourless, which allows the most light through at 92% light transmission.
Coated with tough UV protectors, this high quality acrylic sheet in addition to other properties such as weather resistance and break resistance makes it a very popular choice for reproducible art such as posters, digital photographs, or art prints.
Your Acrylic glass will be delivered with a protective polyethylene film that must be peeled off before use.
What are the benefits of acrylic glass over regular glass?
Acylic glass is stronger, more impact resistant and won't shatter. It is half the weight of glass, and a 3mm thickness of acrylic is 2 to 3 times more impact resistant than double strength window glass, 4 to 5 times more impact resistant than wire glass or other types of glass.
Acrylic transmits more light than glass. Up to 92% of visible light is transmitted through acrylic glass. Mineral glass transmits 80-90%, depending on the type of glass and manufacturer.
ACRYLITE framing grade sheet is the only acrylic framing grade product that is guaranteed defect free.
It is an exceptional general-purpose glazing for cherished memorabilia, photographs and prints as well as for valued artwork, and is used by museums and galleries for both indoor and outdoor framing.

Like most acrylic products, Optium Museum Acrylic® is half the weight of glass and is shatter-resistant.

Acrylic glass thickness
We generally use 3mm for all our picture frames.
If you would prefer to use 2mm thickness, the longest side of the frame should not exceed 600mm.

We deliver Australia wide, or you are welcome to collect from our studio in Kingscliff, by appointment.
Our products are shipped from Kingscliff and are usually dispatched within two business days of receiving the order if we have stock on hand.
We package this glass VERY well and damage in transit is very rare. Should you have any problem at all just get in touch, we will be more than happy to help.
We deliver Australia wide, and in most cases provide tracking and require a signature on delivery.
Orders are shipped either with Australia Post or a Courier company.
Your purchase is insured with the carrier. If your purchase is lost, stolen or damaged during transit, you will be compensated by the carrier after the carrier has completed their investigation and confirmed the item to be lost, stolen or damaged.
